Pet Aggression
Many pet owners consider their pets to be a part of their immediate family, so when anger problems begin to show up in pets, they need to be resolved as quickly as they would be resolved for a human. Anger issues in pets can come from physical abuse or even medical problems. If your pet is exhibiting signs of aggression, you should contact the Atlanta veterinarian clinic in order to rule out any medical problems that could be causing the aggression.
Unlike people, animals are unable to communicate their problems effectively with people. If they're upset about their treatment or if there is something seriously wrong with their body, they have to resort to physical displays of desperation. Animals “cry out” for help with their body behavior, and it's our job as pet owners to recognize when they are “telling” us something is wrong, and to address it.
Another reason that animals may become aggressive is for protection. If an animal feels that it is weak, it won't want other animals (sometimes including their owners) to get near them. They are aware that they are not physically capable of protecting themselves, so they will become defensive in order to stay alone, unharmed by others.
If your pet has become aggressive recently, our Atlanta veterinarians would love to take a look at them and help solve the problem. If there is a medical issue at hand, we want to get it fixed right away. Contact our vets today for expert veterinarian assistance.
