Flea Infestations
Flea infestations are one of the most annoying problems to have for an Atlanta pet owner. These little bugs will cling to your animal and live in its fur. Along their journey from hair to hair, they'll inevitably lay flea eggs, which will drop off of your pet. To where? Anywhere – flea eggs will end up on your sheets, couches, in the carpet, on your unfolded clothes, everywhere. Of course, then they hatch and suddenly you have a major flea infestation to deal with. Bombing for Fleas
Bombing your house for fleas is one way to take care of this infestation, but you have to take certain precautions. It's important to remove every animal, person and fish from the home before setting off the bombs. Bombs are packs or cans of gas that will fill your home and poison anything that breathes it. You're basically gassing the fleas, as well as any flies, spiders, and so on. If you leave your dogs or cats in the home while it's being bombed, they aren't likely to survive. The same is true for people; be sure no one is in your home when you bomb it for fleas.
While you have the animals out of the house during the bombing, it's a great idea to wash them with special flea shampoo. This is shampoo that will kill and remove any fleas that are on your animals. This will prevent the flea infestation from starting all over again as soon as the animal enters the house.
To prevent more fleas from getting on your pets, provide them with a flea collar or flea medicine. There are also oils that can be rubbed into the pet's fur that will repel fleas.
